Wesleyan Covenant Association Accredited by National Financial Accountability Organization

June 19, 2018

The ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) announced today the accreditation of the Wesleyan Covenant Association of Reynoldsburg, OH.

ECFA accreditation is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fundraising.

The Wesleyan Covenant Association (WCA) joins a growing number of Christ-centered churches and ministries across America, supported by over 27 million donors that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.

“We are pleased to accredit a ministry committed to promote the ministry of the gospel from the Wesleyan theological perspective within The United Methodist Church and kindred bodies,” said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.

Founded in 2016, the WCA (www.wesleyancovenant.org) is an association of congregations, clergy persons, and laity who desire to cooperate in the mission of the WCA.

“We are proud to receive the ECFA’s seal of approval,” said the Rev. Keith Boyette, the WCA’s president. “The ECFA’s accreditation is an important milestone for our young, fast growing movement across the UM Church. We want our members and supporters to have complete confidence in the way our leadership and governing council manages the generous resources they give to enable us to fulfill our mission. We are delighted by this news from the ECFA and trust our members and supporters are as well.”
