March 22, 2022

The Rev. Stephanie Greenwald emcees the WCA’s Fourth Global Gathering in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Wesleyan Covenant Association is pleased to announce that the Rev. Stephanie Greenwald, Associate Pastor at St. Andrew’s Community United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will address its Sixth Global Gathering – More Than Conquerors – in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

“Stephanie’s passion and enthusiasm for sharing the Gospel just lights up a crowd,” said the Rev. Keith Boyette, President of the WCA. “Stephanie is a stalwart servant for the Wesleyan Covenant Association. She served as our emcee at the Fourth Global Gathering, and she co-hosts our popular Holy Conversations Podcast with the Rev. Bob Kaylor. We are thrilled she’s accepted our invitation to speak at More Than Conquerors!

Greenwald will take as her text for her presentation, Joshua 24.14-15, verses from the passage where Joshua calls the people to remember that it was the Lord who delivered them from bondage and led them to the promised land.

A graduate of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Chickasha, Oklahoma), Greenwald is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She has served at St. Andrew’s Community UMC since 2017. In addition to preaching and leading worship, she and senior pastor, the Rev. D. A. Bennett, co-host the weekly St. Andrew’s Podcast for the congregation. She also serves on the executive board of Light Up the Dark, a nonprofit helping people who struggle with addiction and abuse.

Both Greenwald and her husband, the Rev. Phil Greenwald, are clergy members in the Oklahoma Annual Conference. Phil was recently tapped to serve as Mid America Christian University’s (Oklahoma City) next president. Together, they share the joy of raising two daughters.

“Stephanie is a gift to our WCA Oklahoma Regional Chapter and the Oklahoma Annual Conference,” said Ms. Cara Nicklas, a member of the WCA’s Global Council and an attorney based in Oklahoma City. “She’s a young, dynamic pastor and worship leader who can preach, teach, sing, and play piano. As a sister Oklahoman, I’m excited my WCA friends around the world will have the opportunity to hear Stephanie address our Sixth Global Gathering!”

The Sixth Global Gathering will be held at Kingsway Christian Church with seating for 1,260 people. People wanting to attend the gathering at the host site should register as soon as possible. In addition to the host site there will be numerous simulcast sites across the United States where people can also participate in the WCA’s Sixth Global Gathering.
