Dear Friend of the Wesleyan Covenant Association,
As the WCA concludes its mission within United Methodism, we are grateful for your support… and we have some news to share with you!
The United Methodist disaffiliation battles have largely ended in the U.S. The separation of the United Methodist Church in other countries continues. While many of us have focused on the legislative, organizational, and networking dynamics of these conflicts, there is an abiding need which must be addressed and cultivated to carry the movement of renewal and revival forward: shaping Methodists in the distinctive Wesleyan doctrine, discipline, and spirit.
Let me introduce you to the John Wesley Institute, which is devoted to this task. JWI convenes orthodox Methodist/Wesleyan scholars, produces Wesleyan teaching materials, and hosts regional “Schools of Methodism” around the country. JWI reaches people across denominations and beyond. For more information, you can go directly to the John Wesley Institute website at https://nextmethodism.org/.
The WCA is sharing its mailing list with JWI for the ongoing work of Methodist/Wesleyan renewal. You can opt out of JWI communications, of course, but I encourage you to support JWI’s important work among Methodists and within the wider Body of Christ.
Yours in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer,

Rev. Dr. Scott Field, President
Wesleyan Covenant Association
